Elox - Featured Photographer for July 2009

About this month's featured photographer...

Elox is an Egyptian amateur photographer living in Geneva, Switzerland. Elox started with painting and then moved on to photography about three years ago. His unique style combines both passion and emotion.

Elox is well known for his abstract black and white silhouettes, capturing the cold and solitary soul and essence of modern urban societies. He is also fascinated with tunnels and the use of natural light, typically contrasted with a mysterious silhouette.

Elox constantly tries to convey strong messages in his photography. He has been described in critiques as a true inspiration and paradox at the same time.

This photo was taken on a London bridge. I noticed the soft sunlight behind me, I also saw these two people walking...

On a cold and cloudy afternoon, I took a break from work and decided to go for a walk on Lake Geneva...
