curious green

in peel of bell
antiseptic care trims
garden spot where
eye of the sea
had once met.
tell me miss emily
that the sun dial
covers all actions
of the hemisphere     ?

a long look

the world looks up
blue & tattered.
where is the helm
& long held diggings?
all footnotes have been
gathered & the puzzle is
spread across the sky.
one cannot see frogs
in puddles or the racking
of political gigolos,
or count the packages
of meat on conveyer belts,
or even see floating
landscapes that fall
past docks & moorings
but there is a long
decay in the human tooth
that will not let up.

planetary buzz 29.

i grow weary
& point my pen
at my reflection
in the mirror
& draw a
harsh circle around
my lazy eye,
the right one
that looks like
a black leaf
under ice.  it
darts wildly about
& is out of control,
being a nemesis
to poetic reflection.

planetary buzz 30.

in saucer not cup
a bee felt entaglement
next to a leaf
from buried redness.
dangling keys from
the dead were heard;
a simple moment
was pulled apart
as figures in
dark winter coats
circled the platz.
once there had been
a feast of voices
but now tongues were
broken by words
as the plastic factory
blurted out white
sentences making sound
a mischievous thing.

mauve move 1.

a paint brush
hung on a hook
& against the artist's
inner eye a small
piece of flesh circled
a perfect red hole.
all his minor points
had been sketched
on a blackboard.
